Full-Time Remote Role: You will be working in a remote role, working primarily offsite (from home). You may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

What you will do on the job

  • Solve thorny problems at the intersection of business, technology, people, culture, and process. Proactively identifies, builds, and uses strategic and collaborative relationships within the org and across functions to get work accomplished.

  • Create, collaborates on, and communicate a clear and compelling vision for the future. Create and champion a long-term vision for D&DS software technical stance. This role is  not  about designing systems in isolation and handing off those designs to others to implement. You must be eager to drive hard decisions, roll up your sleeves, dive into the weeds, and get things done.

  • Align our technology roadmap with business objectives and the strategic direction of the team. Translate business needs into an executable technical design and roadmap.

  • Define and promotes architecture standard processes for the team.

  • Design and implement foundational infrastructure components used across engineering teams in production. Identify opportunities for reusing code and components across development efforts.

  • Dive into fires, collaborate to refine the approach, and delegate execution to the most appropriate team.

  • Daily work does not require writing code, but you should be comfortable reading code and offering constructive code reviews.

  • Foster technical excellence on the team. Sponsor and develops engineers. Mentor and train other team members across all seniority levels on design techniques and coding standards.

  • Lead and support a culture of collaboration, critique, and candid feedback. Create and maintain an environment that promotes discovering, considering, and supporting ideas from a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences.

You must have

  • Experience in web or web service application architecture and y ou’ve designed, built, and scaled high-traffic web services or APIs with demanding reliability and SLA requirements.

  • You have experience architecting and developing solutions to ambiguous problems with significant impact.

  • You have deep experience with any of the following: Python, SSO federation solutions, identity management, content management platforms, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Angular, PostgresSQL , AWS , or similar technology.

  • You have a track record of successful technical leadership on large, high-stakes projects.

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 1 6 years of relevant experience.

The salary range for this role is 139,000 USD - 277,000 USD; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
