This Senior Data Engineer role for the Platform Engineering team with Associated Bank will be responsible for modernizing and supporting the data platform, including pipelines, data ingestion processes, data transformation tools/processes, data extraction processes and processes to validate data movement. The Platform Engineer will also be responsible for working directly with various other product teams to understand business requirements and priority of requests. This person will:

• Manage the installation and configuration of solutions.
• Complete code and script updates, as well as resolving product implementation errors.
• Contribute expertise on information system options, risk, and operational impact.
• Oversee routine maintenance procedures and performing diagnostic tests.
• Collaborate with developers on software requirements, as well as interpreting test stage data.
• Have experience programming in a high-level language such as Python, PowerShell scripting, SQL, or other language to script installation, configuration, and provisioning.

Requirements:

• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in mathematics, computer science, MIS, data science, analytics or related program.  Required
• Experience
  
  • 5 years of familiarity with a broad portfolio of AWS infrastructure tools (EBS, S3, EC2, Elastic IP, Route 53, VPC) and experience with cloud infrastructure management and automation technologies. Required
  • 5 years’ experience working with basic structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. Required
  • Basic SQL knowledge proficiency and analytical skills. Required
  • Exposure to modern data/analytics architecture (Big Data, Cloud, etc.). Required
  • Exposure to advanced analytics tools (Python, R, etc). Required
  • Scripting (shell, python, ruby) skills for monitoring and automation. Required
  • Experience working with ETL tools such as Informatica, SQL Loader, etc. Preferred
  • Experience working in databases/data warehouses such as Oracle PLSQL, MS SQL server, SSIS, SSRS, etc. Preferred
