About Marin Technology, Marketing & Product Engineering

Marin is looking for a Java- Full Stack Software Developer- who is experienced in Python to join our growing Optimization engineering team in order to greatly advance our AutoPilot™ capabilities, and to continue to deliver game-changing quality features rapidly to market.

Exposure to publisher features and Marin's close working relationships with key publishers and customers such as Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon, Snap, Linked In and Tik Tok, (amongst others) will ensure your skills remain honed and highly desirable as our customers use the AutoPilot feature.

The unique AutoPilot feature is set to plan, pace, and optimize their advertising spend in ways not possible with publisher tools, and Marin is distinctively positioned to provide cross publisher and cross channel measurement, management and optimization insight and solutions focused at driving improved financial performance, automated timesaving workflows through a highly customizable and interactive UI.

About The Team and Marin Engineering

Applicants welcome from anywhere in the US, although will be required to work closely, and align hours, with San Francisco team.

The successful candidate will join a highly skilled and driven team and will be tasked to actively design, develop and maintain features in multiple modern languages and frameworks. The Senior Software Developer has many career progression routes available to them, both within and beyond the Optimization team.

Access to petabyte-scale on-premise data clusters will increase your experience in high-performance, low latency, high throughput solutions tackling diverse and challenging business and technical problems.

You will help drive direction for the team and influence the business as a whole!

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Marin's next generation online advertising bidding solutions
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies, in a distributed system environment, to build scalable software processing terabytes of data every day.
  • Work with the data science team to understand, ship and maintain sophisticated Optimization/Machine Learning solutions.
  • Tackle challenging software development problems with a mathematical flavor to deliver high quality features on time under an Agile methodology.
  • Work with a highly skilled team that's passionate about building rock-solid software that delivers value to our customers every day.
  • Provide technical leadership, design skills, engineering best practices, and mentoring capabilities to the team.

Requirements

  • Track record of software development experience.
  • Proven work experience writing software with a functional programming language such as Scala or Java with lambda expressions.
  • Relevant experience with relational databases.
  • Solid understanding of Data structures and algorithms.
  • Strong believer in unit testing and automated integration tests.
  • Experience with functional programming, such as Scala, is a plus.
  • Industry experience with data analytics projects involving machine learning and optimization in production is a plus.
  • Knowledge about the advertising domain is a plus.
  • Industry experience developing distributed systems (Hadoop, Spark, HBase, Presto, etc.), is a plus.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science/Applied Mathematics/Statistics or other quantitative discipline.
  • 4 hours overlap with SF timezone.

For Colorado-based roles: Minimum annual salary of $100,000- $190,000 . You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
