About the role

After the redesign in 2019, the Rippling Brand has become a huge asset and differentiator for the company. And our team has earned the respect of stakeholders at every level. As such, we are responsible for stewarding the Rippling brand with craft and care in every touchpoint. We are looking for a freelance Web Designer who will lead the production of growth pages, support our web team in the continued build out of our design system, and play a role in the creation of original concepts for new product launches.

What you'll do

• Work directly with our Growth team to build unique, one-off pages that tell our product story in a succinct and targeted way.
• Partner with designers, art directors, and writers to develop and build out original concepts for new product launches. Bring original thinking and a unique perspective to our product communication on the web.
• Under direction of our web design team, further develop our design system, including maintenance and evolution of variants, components, modules, and more. Collaborate with internal and external development teams to bring the design system to code.
• Collaborate with the brand team to concept and create bespoke 3D and illustration assets as necessary. Create medium to high fidelity assets to help better explain complex product concepts across the web.
• Structure quick user tests to gain validation and insight into design decisions.
• Work hands on with internal and external development teams to arrive at performance-driven solutions for complex challenges.
• Bring an exceptional eye for design, details, and a genuine love for the craft.
• Ensure the quality of design through rigorous QA.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Experience partnering with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to self-guide and project manage with minimal direction.
• Good communication skills and ability to embrace feedback and pivot accordingly.
• Proficiency in Figma, Adobe CS, Asana, Google Workspace, Slack.

Preferred qualifications

• Prototyping experience (Figma, Principle, After Effects, etc.)
