This role will serve as an important resource to our finance and corporate team members, providing them with key reporting and data insights. The Financial Decision Support Conprovides decision support business intelligence that may include cost accounting, financial planning, payroll and productivity within the Financial Planning and Analysis team. This position manages large datasets and databases to develop and maintain the decision support systems as well as leveraging software and services to transform data into actionable insights that inform an organization’s strategic and tactical business decisions. In addition, the role requires working with innovative analytical tools while applying advanced data mining knowledge, data visualization, measurement analysis and healthcare billing expertise. This can be a remote position if you live in or near the following state(s) only: AR, AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IA, ID, MI, MN, MO, NC, ND, NE, NM NV, OH, PA, SC, TN TX, UT, WA, WI, WY, NY POSITION SUMMARY This position provides decision support business intelligence that may include cost accounting, financial planning, and payroll and productivity within the Financial Planning and Analysis team. This position manages large datasets and databases to develop and maintain the decision support systems as well as leveraging software and services to transform data into actionable insights that inform an organization’s strategic and tactical business decisions. In addition, the role requires working with innovative analytical tools while applying advanced data mining knowledge, data visualization, measurement analysis and healthcare billing expertise. CORE FUNCTIONS 1. Provide data warehouse management, business intelligence ideas, and maintenance of decision support software. Develop standards, operating procedures, and documentation for technical processes. Normalize, validate, and ensure data integrity through comprehensive auditing and analysis. 2. Manages data accuracy through ongoing validation and comparison of data warehouse to operational activity. 3. Provides direction with technology partners to coordinate implementation and support for financial and clinical information systems to enhance current and future system functionality. 4. Responsible for Intermediate level queries in Excel, Power BI, and basic SQL (or similar language) for proficient operational analysis. 5. Compiles and presents financial decision support information. Compares decision support data to financial performance and provides insight into interdependency. 6. Serves as a leader and subject matter expert in decision support data, which includes implementing improvements and efficiencies by identifying trends and variances. 7. Responds to non-standard requests from internal customers; investigates with assistance from others, as needed. Interacts primarily with department peers, supervisor, and internal customers. 8. Develops curriculum and conduct end-user training sessions as needed on the various application modules of the business intelligence, data warehousing and analytics systems. 9. This position has primary responsibility for the maintenance and security surrounding the business intelligence platforms, including database administration and user access and privileges. Performs all functions according to established policies, procedures, regulatory and accreditation requirements, as well as applicable professional standards. Not a safety sensitive position.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of business, finance, health management, statistics, and analytics as normally obtained through the completion of a bachelor’s degree. Five plus years of current and progressive experience of analysis work in healthcare or an equivalent combination of relevant education, technical, business and related industry experience. Excellent analytical and organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with changing needs and deadlines. Excellent human relations skills and the ability to effectively interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization.Must be proficient in the use of sophisticated software programs, data interpretation and spreadsheet programs. Proven advanced analytical skills are necessary. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
